3/4” Yankum rope with soft shackle

Posted by Luke D on Jul 29th 2020

Best recovery rope on the market. Much better than the knock off brands. My plumber got his van and trailer stuck down the road shortly after purchasing and I pulled him out first try with no jerking whatsoever (up a steep incline). Can’t say anything more than this: perfection!! Great service and fast processing. Very pleased

The 3/4 Inch Rubber BOA Rope

Posted by Stephen E Sauls on Jul 27th 2020

I saw the Yankum Tow Rope being utilized by a Youtuber known as Matt's Off-Road Recovery. I came away impressed with how the tow rope was utilized. I decided to add the rope to my off-road kit for my 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK 4-Door Unlimited. I bought the entire kit, which included the bag. I used the container to hold the additional parts, so noting gets scattered around the back. I do have a standard tow strap kit too, which I use in conjunction with a Smittybuilt Winch. With the 30 foot addition, it can give us extra reach when needed. I do recommend the entire kit because you never know where you will need to use a recovery kit on any kind of vehicle, and there are those folks who think that they have a full off-road vehicle when they don't. The quality of the rope is superb, and I do like the fact that the ends are dipped in a rubber coating to better protect the line from chaffing. Having served in the Navy, the quality is spot on and will give years of service, so the expense is justified. For people with boats, yes, you can use the rope to Moore your favorite floating play toy too. It is that strong.

very well made. Stretchiness makes for a smooth tow. Wish I had bought this before wasting money on cheap foreign made straps that don't last.

    3/4" Kinetic red rope 20'

Posted by Ken Francisco on Dec 10th 2019

I see only 1 review on this rope.....let's make it 2.....so I thought I would say more than I have to :) I am still waiting for the opportunity to use this rope. The quick answer is these are high quality recovery ropes and well worth the minimal investment costs. Construction is excellent. It is tagged with the 19,000 MSL rating which is a professional courtesy from the company. Made in America. Black Rubber dipped ends.....thick coating at that. A slidable 5 foot black vinyl sleeve in the middle. Flexibility and bend radius is very good. I have the short 20 footer so very easy to throw in my aluminum truck box. Comes in a nice heavy duty vinyl stuff sack but I find no need for using it. Be sure to get 1 or 2 soft shackles. Not everybody has the proper hooks on their trucks....or cars so think about all the little support gear you will need in addition to 1 or 2 of these 20 footers. I have an SAS 2001 Tacoma with 35" tires and Landcruiser axles......wet weight is probably 4000 pounds so the rule is 3X that so the recovery strap should be 12,000 breaking Load or bigger. This 3/4" Yancum rope is more than enough at 19,000 break load. For pulls in the snow or really slick mud, one might consider a lighter duty rope that will really stretch and store that energy.....a 1/2" recovery rope(rated at 11,700 Breaking load) is probably perfect for those low traction" situations. It does basically meet the 3X criteria anyways. ZUK Chandler AZ
