Ron Pratt just gave us an amazing example of how to flip a vehicle back on to its tires. Flipping any vehicle is very difficult let alone one this size, In many cases the vehicle in question may roll too far, or it's too heavy for the recovery vehicle to gain the traction needed. In this case, Ron Pratt used his heavy wrecker and a 1-1/2" x 30' Yankum kinetic tow rope. The standard practice is trying to use chains or a winch-line. Ron showed us all how to make quick work of this recovery using the kinetic energy in a Yankum Rope. Â
One of the difficult parts of this kind of recovery is the fact that the recovery vehicle typically needs to pull from a high angle on the rolled rig. This angle puts the recovery vehicle in a disadvantage for traction since the rope or winch line will have a tendency to lift the back of the rig. This compounds the issue since most of the traction comes from the back axles of recovery vehicles, this is still a massive disadvantage for four wheel drive vehicles.Â
Since Ron Pratt's heavy wrecker is heavy and the fact that he was able to get a run for this recovery all of the traditional problems for this scenario became a non issue. we are truly grateful for the opportunity to work with Ron Pratt and his channel and observe his professional approach to using our recovery ropes. Â
