He Bought Some Kinetic Ropes and Won a 702hp RAM TRX

Our first Burley winner. That’s the headline. Brian runs a truck fleet right here in town, buys Yankum kinetic ropes from our storefront across the way, and swears by them for real-world recovery work. He’s the guy who’s already put these ropes through it. He’s also the guy who nearly wrote us off as a prank call.

When Alan and Jade FaceTimed Brian, they didn’t lead with the good news. They opened by telling him there might be a recall on one of the ropes he’d bought. Brian was skeptical, which is fair, because the recall was made up. What wasn’t made up was Giveaway #6. Brian had just won a 2022 RAM 1500 TRX. It took him a minute to believe us.

The Build

The TRX is basically a Hellcat with a truck bed. 702 supercharged horsepower, 650 lb-ft of torque, 0-60 in under four seconds, and Bilstein Black Hawk shocks with 13 inches of travel up front and 14 in the rear. Trophy Truck territory, straight from the factory in Granite Crystal Grey. This one didn’t need help off the line. We focused on making it look and feel the part:

  • Raceline 18” aluminum rims in satin black with a -12 offset
  • 37” Toyo Open Country All-Terrain tires
  • Leveling kit to sit right on the 37s and open up the approach angle
  • Yankum Ropes Off Road Recovery Kit
  • EZ Flate mounted air compression system
  • Midland onboard two-way radio comms
  • TackForm dash mount

Brian brought his son (and business parter) Kasin down to grab the TRX. Shortest pickup trip in giveaway history, because home was a couple minutes away. We handed over the keys, hung out for a bit, and sent them off in the new truck.
