If one occurs, metal becomes projectiles and can damage vehicles and injure people in them. The Groove Lead allows for a recovery completely metal-less. If we are connecting the winchline to a soft shackle, the hook becomes unnecessary.
SIMPLICITY
Any soft winch line up to 1/2" works with the Groove Lead. A simple Brummel splice allows the eye to slip easily into the groove. If damage to the line occurs during an extraction, a quick splice and you are back in business. No need to fiddle with metal when doing a trail repair.
